My journey to BakeSpace

Last week I was searching for a recipe for my Cuban dinner party (I did find a fabulous Cuban Red Beans and Rice recipe that I used). I came across this website completely by accident and didn't pay much attention to what it was. I came back this afternoon so I could link the recipe to the girls in my group (The Gourmet Gals) and I realized that this is a social networking site for foodies!!!! :whoah: I started a recipe swap on yahoo for people in my area to chat about food and share recipes. It didn't really work about because there wasn't much conversation (besides from my big mouth) and not many people posted recipes. I was really bummed about it. But this is sooo much greater than any silly little group I could start on my own. This is wonderful! Like I mentioned before in my Introduction (in the Pantry Forum), I find it very difficult to meet people my age (mid to late twenties) who live close by (Morris County, NJ) who share an interest in cooking. This is not to say I'm not excited about meeting people of all ages from all locations. That makes it even more fun! So, I'm here! I'm psyched! I look forward to chatting and swapping recipes and posting with all of you! Thank you so much Babette for putting your idea into motion!
