This is WICKED cool!

Just customized the blog...and totally love it. Hope to be very active here, I've just been so busy with work...hopefully can take some time for me and enjoy this place. Baking is a passion for me, and what I do for enjoyment and relaxation! I baked two loaves of banana bread this weekend, one with nuts and one without--both turned out delish...and wouldya believe I used Jiffy baking mix to do it? Not their banana muffin mix, but their general mix--you still have to do all the work, but the loaves come out absolutely perfect with fabulous flavor. Baked them in my PC stoneware loaf pans and was very happy with the results. In other news,:hahaha: I picked up a gallon of maple syrup from a local producer this weekend for $37--this should last us a fair amount of time, and give me enough to reduce some and make maple creme. I also got 18 maple sugar candies for $4.50. I think the prices were reasonable--I could have bought a gallon of syrup for $34.50 at Ken's Village Market in Indian River, but this guy is local so I decided to go with him. Halloween Treats: Easy, cute and yummy! I do most of my baking from scratch, but these can be replicated using a box brownie mix, canned frosting and decorations: I tend to photograph my foodly creations a lot, so be prepared, and I hope you enjoy!
