Hi..Well this is my first time writing a blog in bakespace. I've been so busy lately I haven't been able to fully navigate bakespace but from what I have seen its a great site thanks *Babette*! I want to get into the habit of leaving recipes on here at least once a week of things I make or recipes I find and don't have time to try. I also want to open up my own bakery at some point in my life here in Miami. Its going to be difficult, that much I know but I can do it. Some of the recipes I have will be kept secret (sorry guys) I need to have some uniqueness in my bakery ;) but for the most part I will share most of my knowledge and favorite foods and dessert recipes. **Valentine's Dinner** I'll start here, yesterday was of course "Valentine's Day". Me and the boyfriend decided to cook dinner for each other, which is usually not so good of an idea he loves to put his own spin in everything which is a quality I admire, but when it comes to the kitchen I go in on a mission, I like what I make to be almost perfect in taste and looks, although as most of you already know that hardly ever happens with cooking/baking, but my bf could care less what it looks like just as long as it tastes right, right!? I had this whole plan set up of exactly what I was going to make and how I would have enough time to finish cooking which never happens, I always end up changing plans at the last minute and taking 2-3 hours longer in the kitchen than I expected. Anyway so in the end for dinner we had velvet shrimp, butter mustard asparagus and yummy white chocolate strawberry cupcakes and pink chocolate covered strawberries. The asparagus is a favorite of mine, which I'll have to post the recipe for it up later along with the recipe for the white chocolate strawberry cupcakes. My boyfriend and brothers (who came in and raided the cupcakes) couldn't stop telling me how good they were and what a good job I did, I was proud of myself, another defeat in the kitchen. I have had the longest search for moist cake recipes without using cake mixes, a lot of cake recipes come out very dry which is something that always upsets me and scares me when I try new recipes or play with the ones I already have, but the one bite I had of these cupcakes proved to be one recipe that did not disappoint. All in all my Valentine's Dinner wasn't bad at all and my boyfriend was very helpful. I'll leave this page with a little pic of the cupcakes last night. . .notesmg { Background Codes - Myspace Gens } body { background-color:; background-position: center center; background-repeat: repeat; background-attachment: fixed; background-image:url('http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/lil5nikki/Valentines%20Day/prod_977_34218.gif') }
