Chicken breasts: cook slow and don't overcook. On the stove you can see the pink recede.. when its a little over halfway, flip it. When the thickest part is firm to the touch its done. If you don't know, cut it open... the taste is worth the scar on its looks. In the oven - use as low a tempurature as you can wait for. When it smells done, open it and check. Cookies: DO cream the sugar and butter first. The rest - usually it works fine if you dump it all together and mix. You can have homemade cookies in 20 minutes! Healthy eating: Shop the outside of the grocery store - you know, fresh meat, veggies, milk and cheese and bread are often on the edges. Only go down a center aisle to stock up on baking supplies, pasta, rice, sandwich essentials. Premade stuff is usually full of additives you wouldn't have added at home. Hamburger: The more you handle it the tougher it gets. So. Don't spend too long forming your hamburger, and only flip it once. Do NOT kneed meatloaf - just mix until mixed! Spicing: Smell what you are cooking. Open the spice you're considering and smell it while the cooking smell is still lingering. Smell good? Add some (only a LITTLE at a time - especially if its fresh.)
