I use my daughters camera. I guess I need to ask her for the manual? but then it doesn't really tell you what the settings are actually good for, does it? thats why I need a teacher! hands on, live learning.

You guys are the experts so you can decide if this site is any good. I don't remember how I got it, but I had it saved.

Dani- my manual actually does, but more like summary form (of course) enough that I knew what each setting did. But I still had to seek out how to work/set them together.

Karen- looks good, I added your link to the top, so it wouldn't get lost in the shuffle Wink

DD - thanks for posting all these links. Maybe when I retire, I can finally get to know my camera better. I've had it for about a year and a half but just looked through the manual long enough to learn how to point and shoot. Would love to learn how to take better pictures and use the manual settings.

I purchased Photoshop at the same time and have never used it....that's on my list of things to do too...learn more about that program.

Sheryle, yeah, same here, only I've had mine longer than that Embarassed (hahaha, I have no excuse, no job, I suck)

I have photoshop too, but it's an older version. I can muddle my way thru and figure out most stuff I wanna do but it takes me forever. LOL I just asked Jamie to check out her student prices for me. (Maybe I'll get the full blown newer version for Xmas???)

What I really like about the sites I've found, is that they also show you how to do corrections and tweaks in photoshop. I really haven't done much besides cropping or the light balance. (I experimented with color saturation a few times) So yeah, maybe we can learn photo editing together too.

Dani... I couldn't find the manual... but by reading online and looking through the camera menu I found most if not all of the settings I read about. I brought the camera to work today and hope to have a chance to play with it a little!

I stumbled onto the cuisine setting totally by accident LOL. I haven't even explored through all the settings.
