i think i'm happy christie won but in all honesty, i didn't pay enough attention to know what he at least "promised" us. NJ has the highest taxes in the nation...so maybe the change is good. i think bloomberg's been a really good mayor to date.

Franco Harris' son ran against our mayor but lost. We have the youngest or one of the youngest mayors in a big city.

Hiya Beeps!

I didn't vote in ours Embarassed We only had one thing to vote on, if we wanted the local schools expanded (again) which of course, would raise our property taxes (again) I'm all for keeping our schools up to date, but most of them around here spend exuberant amounts of money every couple of years. I'd rather see them quit laying off teachers, ya know?

Anywho, what's everyone doing today? I spent most of the day yesterday doing photography tips research. Thanks Joanna for that blog site link btw, it was really good. In fact, I'm going back today to re-read some of the stuff. Then I'm going to work on what I'm doing for this month's challenge.

Hi Eric!

Karen- I had a dream about you last night. That you were trying to hang wallpaper and I came over to help you. LOL (what the heck?)

K, I'll check back when ppl roll in out of bed Wink TTYL

DD, when can you get here? We just had this conversation over the weekend when I told Dan I wanted the bathroom painted, but we have border up there. I said just take it down and I will get something new. He wasn't have any of it...................we'll see who wins this one.

I'm going to take my mother for her flu shot and then the Wednesday breakfast group is going to lunch for Loretta's birthday.

Hey Spryte, everything was frosted when I got up.......should bring in some nicer weather for the weekend. Are you coming out to make soup and bread Very Happy

That's funny Karen! If I lived a wee bit closer I could come over early in the morning and have the whole shebang done before he got home. Then what would he do? as if he would strip it all back off himself? LOL

Karen I would LOVE to! But I was so insanely busy last month, I'm hoping for a nice quiet month up until Thanksgiving when it will get insane again, until New Years.

Morning all! It was actually snowing when I got up this morning. Well, it was a flurry that lasted all of ten minutes, but still!

I'm glad you found that link helpful, DD! I'm in the process of trying to redo my avatar from flickr now, so thanks for the tip!

I have yet ANOTHER day off today (how can one have three jobs and still be home three days in a row?) and my husband will be out of town from tonight until Friday, so I'll have lots of food play time. I bought a few pomegranates yesterday, now I've got to figure out what to do with them! Any ideas?
