• Preparation Time: 30 mins
• 3/4 c. shortening
• 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
• 1/2 c. granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/4 c. water
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 c. flour
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 3 c. quick oatmeal
• 1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together shortening, sugars, eggs, water and vanilla until creamy. Combine remaining dry ingredients and add to mixture; mix well. Drop rounded teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
